Training resources to aid with tasks 2 and 3 of the Speaking section for OGE
Listening ("Engaging in sports"). Tasks from FIPI's website. A set of exercises has been devised based on a script, allowing for language material to be put into speech. There are materials available for both the learner and the teacher, complete with answer keys. Several tasks have been attached to the post.
Work sheets for learners that can be utilised to practice required vocabulary on the following topics:
- Extreme sports;
- Sports;
- Healthy lifestyle;
Each worksheet encompasses a few tasks, all aimed at learning theme-based phrases, chunks, and collocations. There are also reading activities, working with vocabulary and images, and exercises involving electronic mails. Links to online tasks are embedded within the worksheets.
Pupil worksheets that include:
- Monologue plans (speaking, task 3);
- Lexical boxes and panels containing necessary chunks and collocations from student worksheets;
- Sentences that help connect parts of the monologue into a coherent statement;
- An introduction and conclusion;
There are three monologues in total, which means there are three worksheets in the pack.
Four work sheets (sports / attitude to sports / doing sports / healthy habits) for dealing with Task 2 (electronic assistant). These contain:
